At Aspire Academy NZ, our team is made up of qualified, experienced, and passionate professionals who specialise in youth athletic development. Many of our coaches have competed at high levels themselves, bringing first-hand sporting experience and valuable insight to every session. We are united by a shared commitment to helping young athletes grow — not only in their physical performance, but also in their confidence, mindset, and love for sport. Through expert guidance, encouragement, and a supportive environment, our team works to bring out the best in every athlete we coach.

Founder & Director of Performance

Nick Stobart

BSc - Exercise Science

Dedicated to developing youth athletes through structured, evidence-based training. With a background in strength and conditioning, speed development, and long-term athlete growth, he has worked with athletes across a wide range of sports from grassroots to professional level. His coaching philosophy focuses on building strong movement foundations, confidence, and resilience—helping every athlete unlock their full potential both on and off the field.

Alice Stobart

I am passionate about helping people grow and reach their potential, both in sport and in life. With a strong background in coaching she is dedicated to creating a positive, inclusive environment where every athlete feels valued, motivated, and empowered to succeed.

Level 4 Personal Trainer

I am passionate about helping young athletes build confidence, strength, and athleticism through purposeful, enjoyable training. With experience coaching individuals and teams across various sports, he focuses on developing well-rounded movement, functional strength, and lasting motivation for performance and health.

Leah Powick

BSc - Kinesiology & Coaching

A former collegiate track and field athlete at Concordia University Irvine, specialising in sprints, heptathlon, and long jump, with experience representing Basketball New Zealand and earning national honours. Currently completing ASCA Level 1 in Strength and Conditioning, she is passionate about helping athletes reach their full potential through tailored training, movement efficiency, and performance-focused coaching.

I help athletes build speed, strength, and agility through evidence-based training. Drawing on experience with professional teams like the Blues and Auckland Rugby, I bring high-performance methods to youth sport—helping athletes move better, gain confidence, and reach their full potential.

BSc - Exercise Science

With a background in field hockey and weightlifting, and a Sport Science degree from the University of Otago, she brings a strong passion for athlete development and conditioning. Having experienced competitive sport firsthand, she is dedicated to helping young athletes build confidence, improve performance, and enjoy their sporting journey.
